How Does Utrogestan Help In Getting Pregnant?

I am only about 4 weeks pregnant - had a miscarriage about 18 months ago and struggled to fall pregnant after that. Gynea now presribed utrogestan - 2x a day to be inserted vaginally? I am not spotting and my hcg count is 94 - I feel quite fine, normal bit of nausia and tiredness - I just want to know if the utrogestan will support the pregnancy and what its actual purpose is?

Hello dear,

Thank you for your contact to health care magic.

I read and understand your concern.

I am Dr Arun Tank answering your concern.

Utrogestan is new generation progesterone developed to mitigate the side effects of the conventional progesterone.

It can given locally so systemic side effects are minimised.

As you have lost the previous pregnancy it is good that you should take it.

Once you are pregnant it is necessary to give good hormonal support to pregnancy in order to avoid incidence like future.

As you are pregnant now please eat good food, good sleep , avoid unnecessary worries.

Avoid lifting heavy weight and pease sit only on chair not on ground, as this can cause problem in the abdomen and miscarriage.

I will be happy to answer your further concern on bit.ly/DrArun.

Thank you,
Dr Arun Tank
