How Do You Prevent Future Diabetes ?

Type 2 diabetes is quite common in my family and 3 out of 4 of my grandparents had it. How well does eating less sugar when you are young (about 30) prevent you from getting diabetic later ? Are there any other tips on how to prevent it?

Eating less sugar or eating less carboghydrate foods can only delay your risk of getting diabetes. Since it runs in your family yu will get it. The point is to go in for early diagnosis and early and proper treatment combined with diet control to prevent complications and disease progressions.
