How do I stop the burning sensation in my throat caused by swallowing hot food?

Hi, this never happened to me before, but I heated up a apple pie and I didn t realize it was that hot, when I swallowed it , it burned while going down my chest. Now it hurts to swallow and a pain that feels like something is in my chest. What can I do. Plz help me

The symptoms seem to be related to acid reflux.

I suggest using antacids such as Maalox.

I also suggest using PPI medication such as Omeprazole.
