Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been told by my dentist that I have pemphigus vulgaris. He seems to see redness on the outside of the upper gums, although I do not. I have been tested and they did come back as positive. Nikolsky s test. I have no pain or blistering. How dangerous is my condition. I have my teeth cleaned every three months.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, this may not be pemphigus vulgaris because this is easily confusing as long as the differential diagnosis is concern, and what the Nikolky's sign is concern this may not be always present because clinical presentation may go on variation from patient to patient so this is not the affirmative sign for the disease, but best is punch biopsy and anti-body test, so please get this done, hope this information helps, take care
