How Can Vomiting, Abdominal Pain And Fluid Build-up In The Gallbladder Be Treated?

What can I give an 83 year old female to help with her pain. She has been in and out of the hospital . She has fluid buildup around her gallbladder, has had an endoscopy don t know results. She has been on antibiotics for a UTI. Currently vomiting, can t keep anything down. Tried to drink water and apple juice barely gets a sip. I am gonna call her nurse in the morning but I ve got to get her thru the night. Any suggestions?

Hi, thanks for your question in HCM. I can understand your concern about the lady. If she is vomiting profusely and unable to take even liquids, then she will require injections and fluids through intra-venous line. If that is not possible at this moment, try giving her one antacid and antiemetic tablet like Pan-D or Emeset 4 mg to stop the vomiting. Encourage her to take sips of water or juices. Hope she feels better and vomiting stops.
Take care.
