How Can Viral Conjunctivitis After Suffering From Laryngitis Be Treated?

I have had laryngitis for 2 weeks... It had started to improve after nearly a week when I developed viral conjunctivitis and then worsened and I have had virtually no voice at all for a week now. I have had a cough, sometimes productive and headache at times but not typical cold symptoms, nor joint aches and pains. I am a retired speech pathologist and am concerned. I have seen my GP x2, almost completed a course of Amoxil. Should I ask to try prednisone etc?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, for that you can use tab. loratidine. Along with that use artificial tear eye drops.

You may require antibiotic for laryngitis if you have fever, sore throat an difficulty in swallowing.

Use goggles. Wipe with clean cloth.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
