How Can Vasomotor Rhinitis Be Treated?

My partner has been suffering episodic bouts, every other month or so, of extreme vasomotor rhinitis coupled with headache. The symptoms last one day and then reoccur at whim. Her otorhinolaryngologist reccommended a CT scan which showed no abnormalities. Yet her major symptom, acute production of clear mucus, persists. She has used fluticasone propionate to no avail. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The CT scan has excluded the sinusitis. I think that might be an allergic cause that it's not under control only with topical corticosteroids. She might need to see an allergologist and take allergic tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anila Skenderi
