What Medications Are Good For A Vaginal Yeast Infection?

What medications are good for a vaginal yeast infection. I seem to remember from several years ago some pills that could cure it in three days. please help. Also I am allergic to any yellow tablets inserted in the vagina. I break out in hives if I use them. I think they’re some form of Nystatin. Anyway, I can’t use those. Nor can I use any oral solutions with Nystatins in them.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

For vaginal infection topical Clotrimazole can be prescribed which is put into vagina. Rule out diabetes if recurrent yeast infection occurs. Per speculum examination also should be done. Keep your vagina area dry and clean. Avoid wetting in that area. Consult gynecologist for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
