How Can Vaginal Yeast Infection Be Treated?

i m pretty sure i have a yeast infection. i have bought a treatment of monistat and i m just really worried because it happened a day after intercourse . at first it started with a bit irritation , now my vagina is swollen, i have several red round bumps, along the lips and it feels near the anus too. it stings when i pee now and i have white discharge , kind of flakey ? it hurts to walk or sit, i think i got this yeast infection because after intercourse i did not have time to shower so i whiped down and went straight to work. please help

The symptoms you describe may not only be caused by yeast infection.It sounds like a sexually transmissible infection(STI). you will need STI work-ups like syphilis test, herpes test, a vaginal swap smear test and even chlamydia test.Your treatment will depend on the results of the test.Just treating a possible yeast infection without confirmation will not be good as you might pass by a different STI.You may see your Doctor or a Gynecologist for examination and work-ups.
