How Can Vaginal Injury Be Treated?

There is a vessel in my vagina that I m positive has broken. This occurred during sex and is very tender to the touch and hasn t completely stopped bleeding. How do I get it to stop? What steps should I take to make sure it doesn t get infected? How will I be able to use the bathroom without it hurting the broken vessel?

Hello,
Thank you for your query.

Would you clarify a few things for me, please?
*is this the first time you have had intercourse?
*has the bleeding occurred before?
*did you insert any foreign object in your vagina?
*do you have fever or abdominal pain?
*have you had any vaginal infections earlier?
*do you have any other medical issues or take any medications?

I recommend :
-avoid sexual intercourse till after the the bleeding stops and wound heals (about 2 weeks after bleeding stops)
-consult and OBGYN to make sure it isn't serious or infected. If necessary, measures may be required to arrest the bleeding?
-blood tests (complete blood count, clotting profile)

# Wash genital area with cool water after using the toilet. Keep area clean and dry.
# Try to incline forward while you urinate to prevent urine from touching the vaginal opening.
# If you wound is inside the vagina then no need to worry about this as it won't be contaminated while you use the toilet
# wash from front to back
# do not douche or insert anything into your vagina.
Please see your OBGYN ASAP to get it checked out and advice you appropriately.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health
