General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I am sorry for the health problems you are facing.

Urticaria (hives) is characterized by red, raised, itchy skin precipitated by an allergen (something that produces an allergic reaction by your body).

Apart insect bites, pollen, there are other causes including intestinal parasites, stress and foods.

Acute uriticaria can last for less than 6 weeks, so, you should continue cetirizine as recommended by your doctor.

If it will keep continuing, further tests are then, recommended to determine the cause including allergy testing and examination of stool for ova/parasites.

Wish fast recovery.
