How Can Urinary Incontinence Be Treated?

I just had a rectoseal(?) spelling... surgery two weeks ago. My doctor put a sling on the uretha as it was starting to protrude as well as animal tissue to support the vaginal vault and the rectom wall... ? The bladder was still in place from a pervious tie up back in the 70 s... I think he put a sling on it as well... BUT I am still incontinent. It almost seems worse than before... Now what?

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
Urinary incontinence is common along women after 50 and usually is caused by urinary infections or weakened pelvic floor. This is also a common and often embarrassing problem. If overreactive or incontinent bladder affects your daily activities, don't hesitate to see your doctor. For most people, simple lifestyle changes or medical treatment can ease discomfort. It is treated with specific medications, pelvic floor muscles exercises, electric stimulation of bihevioral treatment and in most cases this is adequate for incontinence control. If Cystitisis a cause as an bacterial infection then it must be treated with antibiotics..Surgical options are reserved for severe and intractable cases.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
