How Can Tuberculous Meningitis In A Child Be Treated?

Hi Doctor! There is my nephew 4 yrs old diagnosed with tuberculo menangitis. And he is taking recommended medications since 2 months. And recently just 1 week back he went through repeated ct scan and got that there is hydrocephalus along with brain tuberculoma has been also developed. I want to know its reason and treatment. Thank you!

tb meningitis causes obstructiin to csf flowwhich causes hydrocephalus due to involvement of basal areas in tb.he must use att 8 to 9 mnths course.if headache is severe ventriculoperitoneal shunt may be useful.
