How Can Tingling Sensation In The Lips Be Treated?

I have been prescribed mebeverine to take until I get a GI referral but it is making my lips and tongue tingle and my throat feel tight. I am wondering of this is an allergic reaction and should I stop taking it and just wait for my appointment. Thanks for your help

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Tingling sensation of lips and throat tightness if started after Mebeverine

that helps in relieving symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome then you

should not stop it on its own, rather you should consult an Emergency room

or your treating Physician and get evaluated so that he can advise you

some substitute drug that has less side effects..

So my suggestion is to consult your Physician and discuss your immediate

symptoms so that appropriate medication can be advised..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
