Hello,

You have history of chronic throat pain with swelling of the glands. Presently you are complaining of hoarseness of voice. These are the symptoms of laryngitis.

Get swab, sputum test & culture done. Use humidifiers and menthol inhalers. You are suggested to take voice rest. Gargle with warm salt water 3-4 times a day. Avoid dusty areas, pollen, smoke, pollution or any type of irritant that may trigger the symptoms.

You may take antihistamines for relieve. Since you are having swelling of the glands you need a course of antibiotics & corticosteroids. Take pain relieving medicines, Combiflam or naproxen for relieve.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
