General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms are due to weather change, allergic/viral upper respiratory tract infection. If it is not associated with fever, wheezing, shortness of breath, chest congestion then nothing to worry and take following advises for next 7 days.

- Do gargle with 2% betadine, 2 times per day
- Take Cough syrup containing guaifenesin and dextromethorphan: 10 ml three times a day
- Tablet levocetrizine at bed time
- Drink plenty of lukewarm water, steam inhalation 3-4 times a day
- Strepsil throat lozenges (neem and honey flavor): take every 3 hourly
- Avoid cold beverages and exposure to pollutants

If it does not respond, then you require prescribed antibiotic like azithromycin.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
