How Can Tendinitis Be Treated?

Hi, I am suffering lately of tendinites.I was recommended to do streches twicw a day, but this already taking too long. I am on vacation and since I left my home, in February my Aquiles tendon hurts. I am walking with a cane, but walking for me is very painful. I can not take cortizone medications. Right now I am taking Turmeric tablets, which Imwas told is an anti inflammatory remedy besides being natural. I am 74 years old and a few years ago had a surgery in my shoulder due to a Tendinite Calcarea. I am concerned with my ankle. Are the strexhs good? Or should I immobilize. I appreciate your attention to this matter. Renata

Hello,

Tendinitis can be treated with anti-inflammatory medicines or steroids. But, I do not know if you have taken it before.

If I were a treating physician, I would have prescribed you Ibuprofen tablets for some time and for pain relief diclofenac tablets for 5 days. These would have given you some relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
