Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Post burns contracture is very common. With children especially, since their bodies are going to keep growing, the grafted area will also keep contracting unfortunately. I suggest you take a second opinion from a pediatric plastic surgeon for the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

sir, my mom has cellulitis. though the swelling has reduced and the infection is under control, the skin around the infected area has not grown fully and she is still having pain. will a skin grafting be an effective solution and will it reduce the pain too ?
