How Can Swelling And Pain In The Feet Be Treated?

Hello, my brother s feet are swollen and are causing him a lot of pain, he had outpatient procedure done on his back about 4 weeks ago to take the pressure off of a pinched nerve in his lower back that was causing him a lot of pain and was also making his left leg swell and hurt real bad and he could hardly walk, the surgery helped with that but like I said earlier now his feet are swollen and when he lays down he says it hurts his back to bad to elevate his legs and feet. He s been putting and ice pack on them but there still swollen.
