Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Blood in vomiting can be due to ulcer in stomach, eusophageal varices, or some times due to epistaxis. Baby Michael needs admission as he is not able to eat. the symptoms stomach pain can be due to ulcer or liver disease. Detailed exam and history is needed followed by the investigations. Cause specific management will be needed to handle the situation.

I got a severe stomach pain yesterday, like a constipation pain, but a lot sharper. I was able to evacuate, then it was followed by diarrhea. For the last day, there was blood coming out, and sharp pains in the pelvic area every 20 minutes or so. It seems the blood has stopped, but the chronic pain is still there. Is there something I can do? is it something that will cure itself?

I am 76 yr female. stomach problems since Thanksgiving. cramps, gas, constipation. took exlax after 3 days no bowel movement, had one result with big gas and uncontrolled mush. lots of mucous with small amount of blood. cramps have stopped, no blood but still mucous in small finger size stool. Iam afraid to take more laxative. I have hard time getting to doctor due to distance, degenerative spine pain. Should I risk taking another laxative/ Sandra Strickland
