How Can Staph Infection In The Ear Be Treated?

I had surgery to remove my clostiatoma a few weeks ago and now I have a staff infection in that ear. I was wondering if smoking marijuana could have caused or increased the chances of infection. I waited a week after my surgery to smoke and the infection came about a week after or so after I started again.

Hello,

Marijuana does not cause infection. However, it is not good for your health and it is better to avoid marijuana to avoid unwanted complications.

If signs of infection are there, consult a Consult an ent specialist and start or step up antibiotic.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
