dear user about your question i would like to tell you that if you have throat infection bacterial or viral desnot need to worry about that....... your feeling sore throat along with chronic should not make you worry as it is common symptom of common cold or bacterial infection of your throat .....about treatment of that you can take paracetamol and cough sedatives as it is safe and it will help alot to improve ....... you should also drink alot of warm fluids that helps improvement........you should have bed rest and no severe effort that makes you tired ....... you can gargle with saline solution it helps to decontaminate your throat ......you can use chlorohexidine or bovidine iodine mouth gargle as it is considered antiseptic for your throat..... some times we require blood test or throat swab or chest xray if symptoms get severe but now you not need that.......if suggested bacterial infection you can take amoxicillin or eryhtromycin it will be safe and will lead to great role in throat and chest infection......... wish you healthy life
