How Can Skin Tan Be Removed?

hello, in the past decade I haven t taken enough care for my skin and I like sports so i spent a lot of time outside. my skin has gotten darker and I am curious to weather I can do anything to get lighter skin. i am willing to try creams and ointments. I have also heard that you could mix lemon juice with water and rub it in the dark areas, is this safe?

Hi,

The first thing that you need to do is to avoid excessive sun exposure now onwards. This will help in reducing the skin damage. You can start scrubbing your face with face scrub twice a week. This will help in removing dead skin and promoting cell growth. Start applying aloevera gel gently massaging at night. Use Salicylic acid containing face-wash.

You can also start applying Kojic acid containing creams.
Mix oatmeal, lemon and honey and use it as a facepack and scrub. Drink plenty of water. Always use sunscreen lotion when going out to sun.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora, Dentist
