How Can Skin Cuts On The Mons Pubis Be Treated?

Hi, I shave my down stairs area , the last time doing so was 2 nights ago. Today i notice an itching and then later on using the bathroom i noticed a small cut or break in the skin on the mons pubis a little above the clitoris. Its irritated and itching. No pain though and itbis bleeding a small amount. Im thinking maybe i cut it whil shaving and now its irritated? what would be the best way to help this heal?

Hi there

You most likely did get cut while shaving.
To heal faster I suggest you keep the area clean and dry. Apply a topical antiseptic or antibacterial ointment regularly to prevent the wound from becoming infected. You can stop using the ointment once the wound heals.

Do make sure that you shave with a clean non rusty blade. This is to avoid other more serious types of infection.

Hope this helps.
