How Can Sinusitis Be Treated?

I have a sinus inf cation for 4 months, finished azithromyzin (3 times per week for 6 weeks) had CT scan today and a nose swab to grow the bacteria and see what it is I guess. In extreme pain, given diclofenac 100mg twice a day and paracetamol up to 3 gr a day. Doing salt water irrigation 1 teaspoon per liter of water recommended by my ENT. Now wait 2 weeks for results. Been to acupuncture 20 times. Frustrated in pain and have to work. Anything I can do now to help myself, garlic pills? Grapefruitseed extract? Help please pain every day for 4 months.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As per my clinical experience, there sounds some sort of sinus blockage, deviated nasal septum or other condition giving problems.

An MRI will help much better for the final diagnosis and further management rather than taking empiric medicines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
