How Can She Be Sure The Pills Are The Same Medication?

My wife niotice two different tablets in her Amytriptiline 10 m g prescription. One is light blue with a V on one side and 2101 on the other. The other is dark blue and has an M on one side and H25 on the other. How can she be sure both pills are the same medication.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

When medications are manufactured by different drug companies they can appear differently but they are essentially the same medication.

In some cases the name would be printed on the back of the packet that held the medication though it may not be on the tablets themselves.

You can also speak to your pharmacist for clarification.

I hope this helps
