How Can Sexual Orientation With Attraction To Men Be Changed?

Hello Sir My best friend claims that straight when he was a kid and he even had girl friends but befor hes teenage life begins he was sexually abused by a an adult man (raped), now hes 20 and he doesnt feel anything sexual towards girls, hes sexuality completly changed and now hes attracted to men,He thinks that its the trauma or the shock from back then caused him to become like this, how can he forget about what happend and become straight again??

It is possible that your best friend has had a bad experience of child sexual abuse by an adult male during his childhood. This can cause what is clinically termed post traumatic stress disorder PTSD. Some child sexual abuse survivors may show symptoms of PTSD. They may behave in a nervous, upset way. Survivors may have bad dreams. They may act out aspects of the abuse in their play. They might show other fears and worries. Young children may lose skills they once learned and act younger than they are. Your best friend can get back his sexual orientation by taking treatment from a psychiatrist.
