my dad is in extreme pain for over 2 years, and been going to a pain management center for that long also. he has seen several doctors and has had several shots including a few shot of a new procedure that involves cold shots that are suppose to freeze/kill the nerve. He has had 7 shots over the past 7 months and hasn t seen any relief. He has had a past injury to the right hip and the pain is in the right groin area as well as the left pelvic bone area.

Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Since, there is a lot of pain your dad experiencing my best advice could be lumbar sympathectomy which is of more use due to etiology of trauma causing pain and the nerves carrying the signals can be blocked by a day care procedure above mentioned.

Kindly consult a general surgeon for the same and nerve blocks do help for these types of situations.

Go to an anesthesiologist directly who have put up pain clinics and you will get a direct and immediate solution for your problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
