How can severe pain in the knees be treated?

I had knee replacement 1 year ago it is horrible. Wish I had old knee back. Physical therapy went fine and knee movement is good it is just painful all the time. I am crippled can t walk 20 feet , pain to awful. I need someone to help me , I need to walk

Hi,

It would be best to consider going back to your doctor for a review, this shouldn't be the case. You may need to go consider going back to physiotherapy to see if there are exercises that would help strengthen the muscles around the joint, both to stabilize and also to help reduce the pain. You may also need to restart pain medication as well. Combination pain medication, that is using pain medication from 2 or more drug families would help with pain control.
