How Can Severe Pain After A Hip Replacement Surgery Be Treated?
Yes I have had a total hip replacement for 8 years now I have had a total of 26 surgeries it is currently to the point now where I have to get another surgery but don t know what to do for the pain until then have trouble sleeping can t get comfortable if I go to a hospital due to the pain will they help me out with something stronger than Ibuprofen so I can be comfortable until my surgery?
If you really had 26 surgeries then you definitely will be in more pain than predicted. For you, I prefer to give opioids. I am a doctor authorized in giving those drugs at considerable risk.
You can take some opioids like fentanyl, tramadol, pethidine, etcetera with a prescription from any local doctor or if you can visit pain Clinic which is basically run by anaesthesiologist only then they will prescribe you these medications.
These medications are not to be taken long term without monitoring so kindly get it from the authorized clinics. For your info, they do many more procedures like nerve blocks which will help you subsides your pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
