Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

For severe back pain, It is essential that you arrive at a diagnosis and take proper treatment.

I get X rays of all my backache patients and then start on painkillers and muscle relaxants. Rest and physiotherapy are required for individual cases.

So get an X-ray and add muscle relaxants + rest to your treatment and do consult Orthopedic Surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel,
