How can severe itching on the scalp be treated despite trying Lubriderm and various other oils?

I am troubled with a very itchy scalp. I have been advised by several doctors to shampoo often. My scalp starts to itch about two or three hours after shampooing. I have used overnight treatments to no relief. I have used various oil and lubriderm. Do you have any other remedies?

You can use ketoconazole shampoo to treat scalp itch. If you are allergic to a particular shampoo, you can change the brand of Ketoconazole shampoo. Take an antihistamine tablet for the treatment of itch.

If your itch is due to dry scalp, you could use a moisturizing shampoo after using ketoconazole shampoo. If your symptoms occur again even after following the above measures, do consult your Dermatologist.

I am having a reaction to, I think, Gain fireworks in-wash scent booster. I have a rash on my arms, legs and body, also my scalp, with severe itching. I ve used cortisone cream which helps minimally and antihistamine which helps better. I ve just discovered that other people have been suffering from the same thing. How can I treat this problem? I will definitely stop using that product, but will this rash/ whelps go away? I ve even seen a dermatologist who actually performed 2 biopsies. Results were allergic reaction. My husband has a rash on his penis with minor bleeding. He is using neosporin. Is that okay? Have you had similar complaints? What do you recommend? Never experienced this miserable itching before. HELP!!!!
