How Can Severe Flatulence Be Treated?

hi. i have a 15 year spinal cord injury and used suppositories for bowel movements every other night since injury. i am plagued with flatulence. i don t know if this is a result of slow gut action or just a longer ferment time. I am a mobile, active 63 year old male. i have tried simethicone several extended timeswith no sucess and was searching for cheaper beano when this screen came up and i decided to ask, thanks

Hello,
It could be due to your spinal injury but it may also be worsened by your diet. I would try eliminating all dairy and other gas producing foods like beans, cabbage and carbonated drinks. If this does not help try adding a probiotic daily.
