How Can Severe Abdominal Pain After A Hernia Repair Surgery Be Treated?

Last month (Dec.) I had laparoscopic hernial repir or Nissen Fundoplasty. After being back home, the worst abdominal pain started. I couldn t get out of bed. Burning, felt like a mule kicked me, almost fainted. Seen my surgeon, didn t find anything wrong, no complications. He ordered a cat scan & they found nothing. The pain is not as severe nut still there. My primary Dr. ordered a G.I.series which am waiting for insurance approval. I m very limited in mobility. Can t bend down, swollen, feel my muscles moving around. Can t eat heavy foods only soft. While am still waiting for test, would like to ask for any advice? Appreciate your help. Also starting throwing up again eating soft foods so I skip meals, drinks. Thank you

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take Cefadroxil twice daily for five days, take Omeprazole twice a day for five days, take Serratiopeptidase and Paracetamol twice a day for five days. Do ultrasound for better treatment of pain, then do CT scan of affected part. If not resolved then consult your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
