How Can Respiratory Tract Infection Be Treated?

I have had a respiratory infection, virus for over a month.I thought I was better but the 2nd day after completing a second round of antibiotics it is back. My biggest concern now is that I have been around my three week newborn grandson. Why does this keep happening and what can I do to keep my grandson from getting this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

You are having respiratory infection since one month

So I suggest you to consult pulmonologoist for following work up...
_Auscultation first needs to be done to hear rhonchi or rales
_chest x ray
_CBC
_throat swab and culture

According to reports further management planned

According to culture specific antibiotic can be prescribed

If x ray shows consolidation then sputum examination needed

Wear mask if having cough problem

Handkerchief used while sneezing

Take care

Hope your concern solved
