How Can Recurrent Thigh Blisters Be Treated?

I have a cluster of blisters on my inner thigh and its in a circle about the size of a quarter. This is the second time it has come up in the same spot. The last time, I went to the ER and they said it was a spider bite. they gave me some meds. I didn t go away so I went to my family doctor and they said it was some kind of herpetic virus like a cold sore. They gave me some cream to put on it and it went away but now its back and bigger than before.

Hello,

I can understand your concern for recurrent thigh blisters. There can be multiple possibilities of the recurrent recurrent thigh blisters. I suggest you to meet a dermatologist to take care and see the area personally.

It appears to be a herpetic lesion which is the recurrent and occurring again and again. In my patients I go for tests for antibodies of herpes virus. If the test positive then I give antiviral tablets such as Acyclovir according to the dose of tablets as per the viral infection.

My all best wishes for the early recovery.
