How Can Reactive TPHA Be Treated?

Hi.. I was diagnozed with tpha reactive 2.831 Then i had shots of ben.penicillin both bottocks.. Then At the same time i am taking oral medicine which is doxycycline. For 1week. Then after 10-12days. I had the quantitative test. The result is titer 1.350 Then when i get bck to the dr. She gave me another medicine. Cifrofloxacin and doxycycline again for 1week. I just wanna know what is the reference range so it will tell me that i am negative in syphilis..? Thank you

Hello,

Based on your data, you are positive for syphilis even in the second test because this is a high titer of it.

Usually, the titer should be negative or lower than 1:160 to consider free of syphilis.

But, I think that it is a good news that in the second test the titer is lower than before.
