How Can Pulmonary Embolism Be Treated?

Hi, My name is Dick Carpenter I have been taking Coumadin for about 4 years now after experiencing massive PE s in both lungs. My Primary Dr. ran genetic tests and discovered Leiden Factor 5 so I guess I m on the Med for life. I m 77 and My INR has been varying a lot without any significant changes in lifestyle or diet. Over a 2 week period varied from 3.4 down to 1.4 then back again. My acceptable rage is 2-3. I ve been seeing TV ads on Eliquis and I wonder if that would work for me. Sure sounds a lot more user friendly. Could that be an appropriate medicine for me? I d greatly appreciate your advice. Thanks, Dick

Hello,

Eliquis is a brand name of a newer drug called Apixaban. It will help you to attain the target INR range.

Nothing much to worry and your treatment is on the right track.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
