Hello and welcome to HCM.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
Psoriasis is a chronic condition. You may face such deteriorating episodes when you are taking treatment.Cause may be any environmental stimulus or mental stress.
Phototherapy would be best for severe plaque psoriasis. But it needs to be first assured whether you have been appropriately and adequately treated with medications.Have you been on regular follow up with your consulting doctor since 3 years for psoriasis?
You need treatment with drugs like methotreate or cyclosporine to be taken under prescription till this acute episode gets over.Topical high concentration steroid ointment with salicylic acid can be used.
Moisturise your affected skin well with vaseline or aloe vera gel 3-4 times a day.
Increase intake of fruits, vegetables and fish, fla seeds, walnuts containing essential fatty acids.
Do regular physical activity for keeping body weight under control.yoga meditation will help in long turn to destress your mind.

Hope I answered your query.
Thank you and regards.
