How Can Prostate Cancer And Elevated PSA Levels Be Treated?
My dad has a diagnosis of Prostate Cancer. His PSA remains high despite surgery - TURP and orchiectomy. So urologist specialist ordered bone scan and PET scan.Results just came in - F choline uptake in the right side of the prostatic region suggestive of residual recurrent disease.Also F choline uptake in salivary glands as well as F choline activity in the livee, pancreas, kidneys, GI and urinary tract. What does this mean? Is there metastasis? Can you determine what stage is the cancer with this information? What treatment options do you recommend?
