Hi, my name is Kate. I already know that you can t tell me whether or not I m actually pregnant. I took a home pregnancy test. The pharmacist told me if there s even the tiniest hint of a vertical line (I used clear blue, the one that shows a plus sign if you re pregnant) then that means I m pregnant. There really was just a tiny bit of a vertical line but it was very clearly not part of the horizontal line. I guess my questions are: 1) is it possible to get a false positive, 2) if I decide to take another test, now long Should I wait since the last test, 3) is it normal to bleed a little more than spotting really early on (my period was almost two weeks late), 4) is something like that small of a line really worth wasting the money on copay, and 5) is there anything else I can do at home or anything I should look out for? My insurance is kind of difficult and doctors are always finding reasons not to take it. You would think Medicare would be better than that. I can t afford the Dr unless it s absolutely necessary. The emergency room is there for emergencies, not a pregnancy test. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...
