How Can Post Nasal Drip Be Treated?

Hi- I just completed my second z-pak for a sinus infection. My nasal congestion and sinus pressure have disappeared but I am still having throat drainage (white foamy if I spit it out), throat clearing, plugged ears, and some dry mouth with extra effort to swallow (no pain or difficulty getting food down... just more chewing and effort). I realize the chewing and swallowing may be because I am anxious about something more sinister like throat cancer. When I use any of the online tools and type in my symptoms, lpr (silent reflux) come up? Should I bring this up with my Dr?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Post nasal drip is a very common symptom and is not usually related to cancer at all.
It is most commonly due to issues with the sinuses which is likely the case for you since you also have blockage of your ears and a dry mouth.

Reflux can cause sore throat and dryness but it is not a cause of post nasal drip or blocked sensation of the ears.

You may want to consider a decongestant/anti histamine combination to help with these symptoms even if there is no nasal congestion. The decongestant reduces the post nasal drip. eg zyrtec d, allegra d, claritine d

I hope this helps
