How Can Pica Be Treated?

I been craving to eat wet sand for the past two weeks, and I don t know if my body is just asking for a vitamin that I dont have or some type of deficiency. I took carbonated magnesium to stop the craving, but I don t know if this was the correct thing to do or should I go to the doctor.
