How Can Phimosis Be Treated?

Hi My name is Arpit and I don t understand whether I have any problem or not. I am 24 year old and my penis foreskin doesn t go back. I can t pull it back as well as it seems skin is attached to my penis forehead with some white thing. I don t know what is that. Is there any thing to worry or need a surgery.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Frequent fungal and bacterial infection can cause adhesions and phimosis. White thing is Smegma which is the accumulation of secretions and debris. This should be cleaned with warm water or saline. Better to avoid soaps to clean this also.
Applying ointments containing combination of antifungal agents like miconazole and corticosteroid like beclamethasone or hydrocortisone for local application will be helpful for clearing fungal infection and phimosis. This should be used for 1 month. You can also move foreskin back and forth gently daily.
If there is no improvement after 1 month then consult a General surgeon. He/she may do procedure to release the adhesions to clear phimosis. If that is not helping then you can go for circumcision. This will definitely clear it.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
