How Can Peripheral Neuropathy Be Treated?

In November I started having neuropathy in my feet tingling numbness pain especially at night I am 28 years old obese female and I smoke cigarettes but I don t drink. But I am not diabetic yet I am pre-diabetic because I got tested a couple of days ago I found a lump on the back of my neck it is hard fixed in place and at the base of my skull where my spine meets my skull I m in like constant pain and stiffness

Hello dear , thank you for using HCM. You can use pain medications, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, can relieve mild symptoms. Medications such as gabapentin (Gralise, Neurontin) and pregabalin (Lyrica), developed to treat epilepsy, may relieve nerve pain. Side effects can include drowsiness and dizziness.Capsaicin cream, which contains a substance found in hot peppers, can cause modest improvements in peripheral neuropathy symptoms.Lidocaine patches are another treatment you apply to your skin that might offer pain relief.Certain tricyclic antidepressants, such as amitriptyline, doxepin and nortriptyline (Pamelor), have been found to help relieve pain by interfering with chemical processes in your brain and spinal cord that cause you to feel pain.Exercise. Regular exercise, such as walking three times a week, can reduce neuropathy pain, improve muscle strength and help control blood sugar levels. Eat healthy meals. Good nutrition is especially important to ensure that you get essential vitamins and minerals. Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein in your diet.Best regards.
