General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

For peripheral neuropathy, cause has to be identified first. According to the cause specific treatment is given. If B12 deficiency is the cause then cyanocobalamin injection is given. Investigate with serum B12 estimation, random blood sugar estimation to rule out B12 deficiency and diabetic neuropathy. Sometimes liver, kidney diseases, connective tissue disorder, etc., also can be the reason for neuropathy.

If needed NCV study can be done for further work-up. Consult physician of neurologist for examination and further work-up accordingly. Don't try any self-medication. Until then you can take Brufen for pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
