My to be 5 years old niece is brilliant in studies, artistic, active, quick picker and confident arround family members but much reserved and shy in school. Her teacher said that she may be suffering from separation or performance anxiety. We usually treat it normally but I am worried as recently she got fever (102-103) in fear of performance at stage. I need your help and suggestion. Is it normal or do we have to concern with child psychiatrist. Please give me some advice and guidance as to how to handle this situation. How can we help her at home in controlling her anxiety and boost her confidence. Thank you in advance for your time!
