How Can Palpitations Be Treated?

I have been experiencing a rapid heartbeat between 101 and 112. My doctor has prescribed Bystolic 2 1/2 mg daily. I do not like the feeling of lightheadedness that I am experiencing on this medication. Is there another medication that you would recommend or would increasing the blood pressure medication that I have been taking for several years help the heart rate?
