How Can Painful Trigger Fingers Be Treated?

I have a moderate trigger finger discomfort (it hurts when I bend my fingers and sometimes the finger clicks). The doctor gave me a choice of three ultrasound controlled diprophos injections into the tendon or a series of 10 physiotherapy treatments (laser, phonophoresis with Traumon and cryotherapy). He said that the injections are most effective, while physiotherapy is 50% effective. What do you recommend I should do?

Hello,

For Trigger finger, best choice is release of tendons or steroid infiltration to the part under local anesthesia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
