How Can Painful Osteoarthritis Be Treated?

Yes, will dronabinol help with my osteoarthritis pain? I am currently taking Vicodin but I think it is bothering my stomach( I have Gerd). I found that my lorazepam helps me but I still need something for pain to make it tolerable. I thought if I switched to dronabinol I could gradually stop taking Vicodin, Zantac, and Lexapro. I don t know if this will work. What are your thoughts?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
